Help us commemorate the 20th anniversary of September 11 by giving back to our communities at our 9/11 Day of Service Events offered throughout the week. In-person, socially-distanced, and virtual opportunities are available. 

Harvesting in Baltimore County (Family Friendly):
September 10

Help harvest fruits and vegetables with us to share with local food banks, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and other food providers.

Setting up Shop and Packing Food in Baltimore City:
September 10

Volunteers are needed to organize a new job training site focusing on plumbing, solar panel installation, and basic construction skills. Help us assemble shop tables and shelving and organize tools and supplies. We’ll also be sorting and packing food for distribution to those in need.

Planting at the Playground: September 13
Help put the finishing touches on the playground at the new United Way Family Center at EXCEL Academy in West Baltimore, which will provide teen parents with free childcare and early childhood education. We’ll also be planting flowers to beautify the space and get it ready for little feet in the fall.

Create a Learn and Play Environment – Furniture Assembly: September 14
Help us as we assemble furniture for our United Way Family Center at Excel Academy, which will provide teen parents in West Baltimore with free childcare and early childhood education
