Many students do not have access to books and other educational materials when schools aren’t in person or are hybrid. You can help us celebrate Read Across America month by participating in one of the below activities to provide students with the tools they need to succeed.

Help us collect 5000 books

Run a book drive with friends and family or go through your children’s books and encourage them to donate. New and gently used books will be accepted.

Be a part of B’More Tutors

There is a frightening drop in attendance and pass rates in our ESOL student population. We match tutors with a learner and subject based on their strengths, abilities, and availability. Tutors are fully trained before matching with a learner. The time commitment is 1-3 hours/week. We are seeking tutors who speak Spanish, Amharic, or Arabic but have spots available for tutors without these language skills.
